The Taldomsk Leatherworking Plant was the first company in Russia to participate in the Made in Russia program aimed at promoting national brands, business, export and culture of the country.

The logo of the national brand "Made in Russia" will appear on all products of the enterprise, advertising materials and website.

The Taldomsk factory is one of the leaders in the leather industry in Russia. The considerable part of production is exported to Europe and Asia. The plant cooperates with leading manufacturers of finished leathers as well as with enterprises of footwear, furniture, haberdashery industry. The plant's capacity allows processing over 800 tons of raw materials and producing 200,000 m² of dyed leathers per month.

"Our company has received very positively the opportunity to participate in the project "Made in Russia". The experience of creating similar sites in other countries successfully proves the need for such a Russian portal. Today in our country there is a large number of small, medium, as well as fairly large enterprises that need to increase their own recognition and promotion of products in foreign markets. We are convinced that the "Made in Russia" portal is an excellent tool for achieving these goals," explained Francesco Pizzimenti, Chief Technologist of the Taldom Leatherworks.

  • Production of suitcases, bags and other products - from RUB 14.7bn in 2014 to RUB 17.8bn in 2015.
  • Leather tanning and finishing - from RUB 3.4bn in 2014 to RUB 3.8bn in 2015.

In 2016. Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to support the industry to increase the total export volume by 10-15%.

The main importers of leather products from Russia are Italy, Spain, China, Belarus and India. At the same time, exports to India and China more than doubled in 2015: up to 10.9 and 10.5 million dollars.
