A new technopark will appear in the Karelian Kondopoga

The Government of Karelia has started designing another technopark in the republic, the new industrial site will specialize in the production of packaging. The application for financing has already been sent to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, said the head of the region Artur Parfenchikov.

"As part of the import substitution policy, we are currently designing, as I reported to you, a packaging technology park in the single-industry town of Kondopoga, where various types of packaging products will be produced. We have sent the relevant application for financing to the Ministry of Economic Development, and we have already received the first approval," Parfenchikov said during his report at a meeting on economic support in the North-Western Federal District in Petrozavodsk under the leadership of the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.In Petrozavodsk, the construction of a technopark for food industry enterprises "Karelian Products" has already begun, the first technopark in Russia for stone processing, created taking into account the Chinese experience, is successfully operating.

"Today, the residents of the technopark [for stone processing] have provided employment for more than 100 people, and we are talking about the need to build the second stage," Parfenchikov said.The Republic is also actively using the mechanism of restructuring the regional state debt to provide industrial facilities with infrastructure.

Karelia has received approval for 13 projects, including the reconstruction of a bridge in the Segezha district for the export of products of the Russian Radiator enterprise in the village of Nadvoitsy and an increase in the capacity of water and electricity supply of the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant, where the country's first digital shipyard will appear.

"This week we have submitted 12 more new investment projects for the creation of 23 infrastructure facilities for consideration by the government commission. The total amount will be almost 5 billion rubles," Parfenchikov said.Read more interesting news in our Telegram channel
