Russia is ready to increase the volume of agricultural exports to Uzbekistan. It is also planned to supply sunflower oil, sugar, wheat and confectionery products to the Central Asian republic. This is stated in the press service of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko.
The corresponding readiness was announced during a meeting between Abramchenko and Deputy Prime Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodzhayev.
As the Russian Deputy Prime Minister noted, now the two states have a high potential for increasing turnover and developing mutual trade. The sides also discussed issues of mutual supplies of agricultural products, as well as cooperation in the field of standardization and quarantine.
Recall that by the end of 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan increased by almost 20%, reaching $ 1.1 billion.
