The funds allocated for the renovation of the Museum of local lore in the Altai Territory under the national project "Culture" will be redirected to the construction of an art museum. According to the Minister of Culture of the region Elena Bezrukova, we are talking about the amount of 200 million rubles.

The reason for the redistribution of funds was the difficulty in finding a contractor for the renovation of the local history museum. According to Bezrukova, the replacement document is currently being approved at the federal level.

"The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has agreed on the replacement of this facility, we are talking about financing in the amount of 200 million rubles. The adoption of this document is expected in October," Bezrukova said in an interview with TASS. The head of the Ministry of Culture of the Altai Territory explained that the authorities of the region organized auctions several times, but the contractor was not found.

The decision to reallocate funds was made due to serious risks of non-disbursement of funds.
