The Investigative Committee detained the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, a criminal case has been initiated against Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukaev on suspicion of taking a bribe of $2 million for helping Rosneft acquire a 50% state-owned stake in Bashneft.
"On November 15, 2016, a criminal case was initiated against Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev as a result of a complex of operational measures taken by the FSB of Russia," said a representative of the IC.
The Minister is currently detained and investigative measures are underway. In the coming days, Ulyukaev will be charged and appointed a preventive measure.
