On April 4, 2017 the first seminar on development of high-tech medical production in Russia took place. The main topic of the seminar was import substitution and building a model of effective interaction between the state, business and science to implement specific production tasks.

Sergey Matveev, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, opened the seminar with a story about the new concept of the federal target program to support the scientific and technological complex of Russia, which should become a kind of "bridge" between business and science.

Among the speakers was Alexey Alekhin from the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a report on the production volumes in the medical industry of Russia. In particular, he spoke about plans to increase the share of Russian medical devices to 40% by 2020. Victor Spektor, representative of FGUP CITO, told about the tasks of his company to create and support the industry, which would ensure the entry of Russian products to the international market and close the needs of the domestic market. Andrey Andrianov talked about aspects of medical goods production and tasks of developers.

The seminar was attended by representatives of science, employees of leading medical and technical universities of the country. They held fruitful discussions on the current state of the industry, considered potential ways of implementing complex projects within the current policy and taking into account existing instruments of state support.

April 21 will be the second seminar in the framework of the Federal Target Program "Research and development in priority areas of development of the scientific and technological complex of Russia in 2014-2020". It will logically continue the work of industry platforms: in the light of significant amendments to the federal target program, such topics will be discussed as the potential for development of the medical instrumentation industry, public investment in scientific research, opportunities for practical application of import substitution.

The speakers will talk about how medical industrial and scientific organizations and government agencies are mutually informed, how a dialogue between manufacturers, developers and medical institutions is being established. Potential performers of government contracts for the development of high-tech medical devices will be able to establish contact with manufacturers.

The round table will be held at: 4 Zubovsky Boulevard, Moscow, beginning at 11.00. Registration by link: https://delovoy-klub-events.timepad.ru/event/472079.
