Enterprises of Primorsky Krai have produced more than 45 thousand tons of pork since the beginning of 2022. The implementation of investment projects allowed the region to completely switch to import substitution of this type of meat. This is stated in the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry, 45.7 thousand tons of pork were produced in the region in the first eight months of 2022. This is 3.4 times more than in the same period a year earlier.

"A year ago, up to 39 thousand tons of imported pork were imported to Primorsky Krai annually. Thanks to the implementation of investment projects, these pork supplies have stopped. At the moment, self-sufficiency with this meat is 100%," said the Regional Minister of Agriculture Andrei Bronts.

Recall that the increase in the volume of own production is the main task of the food security of the region in the conditions of sanctions.
