Sights of the capital of the region in silver: a married couple from the Samara region develops jewelry production

Samara enterprises are developing in new economic realities. Samaritans Vyacheslav and Irina Sharov have been developing their own production and brand of jewelry for five years. Today, entrepreneurs are making plans to increase staff and open new outlets.

Vyacheslav is a welder in the past. The man admits that metal has always attracted him, but he wanted to bring creativity and art to his business. At the very beginning, the equipment was a welding machine and a grinder. We started literally from scratch, without knowledge and experience. At the start, table sculptures were made. So, the authors of compositions with polygonal yellow elephants and pink hands on the Samara embankment were the Sharova spouses.

In parallel with this, the idea was born to talk about their products in the online space. "I shot videos, took photos of metal sculptures. Later I began to study casting and gradually came to jewelry casting," Vyacheslav Sharov said. – Creating jewelry, I began to grow professionally, but at some point I realized that I had hit the ceiling of my productivity, that there was a need for employees. Today, the staff of our company consists of seven people," the entrepreneur said.

Thanks to the implementation of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship", favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship have been created in the Samara region. As the governor Dmitry Azarov emphasized earlier, today it is necessary to do everything so that the enterprises of the Samara region continue to work stably.

The range of support tools is constantly expanding for entrepreneurs, "My Business" centers are being created, where entrepreneurs can get advice on any issue related to the creation and development of their business. "Stable operation of small businesses is one of our absolute priorities. We provide entrepreneurs with a wide range of services: from consultations, assistance in promotion, educational support to preferential microloans and assistance in exporting. Today, more than 622 thousand people are employed in the field of small and medium-sized businesses. According to the level of development of this sphere, our region is among the top ten in the country," said Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investment of the Samara region.

Stability and growth are the main guidelines for Vyacheslav and Irina Sharov's company. If Vyacheslav is responsible for the direct production process, then Irina develops product design and is responsible for the economic performance of the enterprise. At the start of the jewelry business, the Sharov family launched the brand of brutal men's jewelry BonnFactory, in 2020 another one appeared, aimed at a female audience – BUNTARKA. The showroom of the same name was opened in Samara, on Frunze Street.

The company does not use precious stones, the jewelry itself is quite sculptural. The natural collection with products in the form of branches, insects, cones is in great demand.

"For example, to create products in the form of cones, we use real alder cones, cast according to an old technology: we close them in a gypsum shell, burn them with the right cycle and pour the metal. Thus, the products are not repeated and are unique, as it happens in nature," Vyacheslav Sharov noted.

Every month, the company creates 1.5 kg of jewelry - this is about 350 products. Entrepreneurs say that the turnover is gradually growing.

"There is always competition, but our customers like the fact that it is made in Samara. I used to create souvenirs about our city, and recently we launched a jewelry series about Samara. This is our uniqueness, because companies that create souvenirs must have a license to work with metal, and other jewelry manufacturers will not want to tie products to a specific city," Irina Sharova explained.

Silver is purchased from Russian refineries. The entrepreneur made the first machines for himself. It was a very serious and competitive equipment. With the development of the business, the entrepreneur began to acquire the necessary machines and machines, most of which are Russian–made: calcining furnaces, galtovochnye machines for metal processing, and a rolling press machine that helps to stretch the plates.

In the near future, entrepreneurs are planning to open an "island" for the sale of jewelry in a shopping center. The process of its creation is currently underway. "Today we are working at the limit of our capabilities. Together with the opening of a new point, we will increase both the staff and the turnover of metal. In fact, we will multiply everything by two," Irina Sharova said.

A month ago, the family became larger, the couple had a daughter, Polina. This event became an incentive for further development and development of new areas of jewelry work. "Perhaps we will launch a line of products that will remind parents of what their children were like when they were little," Irina Sharova said.
