During the V Eastern Economic Forum, as part of the "Territory of Innovation" project, Roscongress Foundation, VEB Ventures and the Far Eastern High Technology Foundation will hold the first specialized EASTBOUND.CAMP event aimed at preparing Russian technology companies to enter international markets.

Startups will be able to test their business ideas and get comprehensive expertise in promoting projects on the global market, and then present them to potential investors from India and China.

For the event, a popular format of a boot camp for beginners has been chosen, where participants gather in one place for high-intensity training. The first stage of EASTBOUND.CAMP will be held on September 3 in Technopark "Russky" and will take place full day. During it, experts will help teams make a list of goals focused on the long-term development of the project, tell them what issues are of primary interest to venture investors, teach them how to work with the media, give recommendations on how to enter international markets and attract financing.

The second stage will be held on September 4 at the WEF-2019 Innovation Territory in the format of a competitive session. By tradition, foreign experts will be invited to the jury, as well as potential investors in small projects from among the Forum participants.

"There are many interesting ideas, developments and promising teams in Russia that are capable of creating world-class companies. At the same time, there is a certain lack of completed projects ready for an independent dialogue with investors. This trend is especially noticeable in the regions. In order to help companies of early stages, we decided this year at VEB Ventures to hold a new format of the contest - EASTBOUND.CAMP, which will provide the closest, most lively and productive dialogue between the project teams and our experts," said Oleg Teplov, CEO of VEB Ventures.
