Shvabe Holding started sales of new measuring devices for the Arctic

ShvabeHolding has released an Arctic version of electronic total stations used to measure distances.

The device allows to measure vertical and horizontal angles as well as calculate distances and elevations. In addition, it can be used to find out the coordinates and altitude of inaccessible objects.

The software on the equipmenthas been designed to automate the measurement process in the field. At the same time, calculations are performed with minimal error.

The new device canbe used at minus 40 degrees and its charge lasts for 20 hours. Especially for operation in low temperatures the functionality of two tachymeter models was improved.

The new devices were created by Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant(UOMZ). Anatoly Sludnykh, General Director of the enterprise , informed that the expansion of the equipment lineup is connected with the increased demand for the equipment to be used in the Far North. According to him, at the moment the imported equipment is used for construction and laying of communications on this territory.

The head of UOMZ said that the equipment offered by the plant has no rivals among the Russian equipment , and can compete successfully with imported products in terms of price.
