Penza Region intends to launch this year a turkey deep processing facility, which will be the largest in Europe. The head of the region, Ivan Belozertsev, reported this to President Vladimir Putin during a video conference.

According to Bolozertsev, the production volume will reach about 300 tons daily. About 9 billion rubles have been invested in the project.

This project is implemented by "Damate" company, which specializes in the production of turkey meat. Already, the holding is one of the world's top ten companies and supplies its products to 27 countries.

Now more than six thousand residents of the region are employed in the production, in total more than 60 billion rubles have been invested in the projects of the companies, the head of the region specified.

In addition, Belozertsev mentioned another major regional investor - the Rusmolko company, whose investments in the region's agro-industrial complex have exceeded 18 billion rubles since 2015.
