Food products from Russia to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be sent via special routes by rail.

A decision was made specifically for this purpose to launch so-called agroexpress trains, similar to those going to China from 2019.

Commodity trains with accelerated delivery started to run to China last year on a permanent basis due to the increase in food supplies to China from Russia. Often perishable, frozen or chilled products that require fast delivery are sent there.

These trains are formed in the Moscow Region and the Kaluga Oblast, and then the platforms with containers can be added along the way. Frozen chicken meat in a self-contained refrigerated container was sent via this route for the first time in May. In future such "cold" trains will be running to China on a weekly basis, the Gudok newspaper writes.

In order to use this experience in the Eurasian Economic Union it is necessary to work out the regulatory framework and create a unified system of customs transit
