Russian plant launches new production of antibacterial lamps

Kemerovo Mechanical Plant mastered a new production in the context of the pandemic. Now the company produces ultraviolet recirculators for air disinfection as part of the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

According to the head of the organization Peter Povolyaev, the first order was the production of one thousand germicidal lamps, designed for the polling stations in the region, where on July 1 was held all-Russian voting.

In addition, the company intends to sign a contract with the Regional Ministry of Health for another 20 thousand bulbs and produce them by the end of this year.

These ultraviolet lamps are used to disinfect the air in places where a large number of people gather. The disinfection rate is 99.9%. This result is achieved due to the optimal balance between the bactericidal power of the lamp and the air flow rate. The lamps can be used in rooms of up to 75-90 cubic meters.

Recirculators, according to Povolyaev, safe for humans and animals, so you can disinfect in the presence of people.

Kemerovo Mechanical Plant is a manufacturer of small and medium caliber ammunition, and also produces civilian goods. The company is part of the Techmash concern of Rostec Corporation.
