Russian authorities have begun discussing reform of Russia's soft power

The Presidential Administration and the Government have initiated discussions on the reform of Russia's soft power approach and the work of Rossotrudnichestvo.

According to the media, this information has already been confirmed by several sources in the Kremlin, the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussion is attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Dmitry Kozak, the new head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov, and representatives of the economic departments, reports RBC.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time this topic is touched upon - earlier on the need for this reform was mentioned by Primakov and some experts.

According to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, the changes are indeed being discussed and talked about publicly. He reminded that the head of the Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov personally stated about it when he was introduced by Primakov.

Kozak participates in the discussion regarding the future changes because this topic falls within his competence "both by the nature of his occupation and by his sphere of responsibility".

Recall that after his appointment as head of Rossotrudnichestvo in early summer, Primakov did not disclose the essence of the proposed reform, explaining this by the fact that it is wrong to make any ideas public at the initial stage.
