VEB.RF and Mail.Ru Group launched a programme to support small and medium-sized businesses

State Corporation VEB.rf and Mail.Ru Group launched a program aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses.

The pilot project "Develop.rf - Business Online" was selected and implemented together with the Far East and Arctic Development Fund. It will enable business people in the Far East and the Arctic to transfer their activities to an online format.

According to Igor Shuvalov, chairman of the VEB.RF, the corporation has been actively involved in the anti-crisis programme to support domestic entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they are the drivers of economic recovery in Russian cities.

He pointed out the need to create conditions both for preserving business and for its development. That is why VEB.ru and Mail.Ru Group have expanded their strategic cooperation.

According to Boris Dobrodeyev, CEO of Mail.Ru Group, thanks to implementation of the launched programme SMEs will be able to receive up to 53 thousand rubles for Internet promotion. Also, small and medium-sized businesses in the Far East and the Arctic will be able to get a website and an online store constructor for free, which will already be connected to logistics and payment systems.

Note that the task of the project "Develop.rf - Business online" is that small and medium-sized businesses can create and run a page for their business in the social network "VKontakte", and the project will help them to promote this page. Business representatives will be able to advise on any of the online conversion stages, with all the costs of digitalization and promotion to be reimbursed by the project organizers, namely VEB, the Far East Development Fund and Mail.Ru Group.
