The first reading of the law on the activity of guides and tour guides passed

The State Duma has approved in the first reading a draft law on the legal regulation of guides, guide-guides and guide-trainers.

This document was prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development of the country.

During his speech at the meeting in the Duma, the deputy head of the Ministry Sergey Galkin said that the main purpose of the legislative initiative is to protect the interests and safety of consumers of tourist services.

According to him, the adoption of the document will form the basis for a system of regulations of excursion work and will create the conditions for the transparent and civilized functioning of this segment of the economy.

In case of the adoption of the law at the federal level will set common standards for tour guides, tour guides-translators and instructors-guides, there will also be an order and criteria for their certification.

In addition, the initiative will protect the domestic tourism market, as only citizens of our country will be able to lead tours and work as tour guides. In this case, the tour-guides will be obliged to know how to provide first aid to the tourists, accompanied, if such a need arises.

Earlier the mayor of the Russian capital Sergey Sobyanin said that a digital tourist platform Russpass will start working in Moscow on July 20. Thanks to the application Moscow tourists and residents of the metropolis will be able to use several services at once.

The platform will help to find the best route for a walk in Moscow, buy tickets to cultural institutions of the capital or hail a taxi.
