Buryatia SEZ will attract 1.5 billion rubles in investments

Six more companies with projects worth RUB 1.5 billion may become residents of Buryatia Advanced Special Economic Zone (ASEZ). This was announced following the results of the Supervisory Board.

According to Temur Budayev, Director of PSEDA, a document on the expansion of the territory was submitted for approval to the Government of the Russian Federation, so that the companies that will be working here will be able to enjoy the benefits and claim support from the State.

According to the draft resolution, the PSA will consist of 9 land plots in Pribaikalsky, Bichursky, Okinsky districts and in Ulan-Ude, the total area of which exceeds 80 hectares.

In addition, 6 companies intending to become residents of the territory are planning to implement their projects worth over 1.5 billion rubles, including those in the industrial, tourism and medical sectors. This will create 440 jobs in the region.

Currently, the residents include two companies setting up a transport and logistics terminal on the border with Mongolia and constructing a poultry complex with a capacity of 30 thousand tons a year. The total investment will exceed 5.5 billion rubles. After these enterprises are launched, almost 900 local residents will have a job, said Dmitry Tetenkin, the general director of the Far East Development Corporation.
