The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has developed a concept for regulating artificial intelligence and robotics technologies. The relevant draft document was sent to the Russian Cabinet of Ministers.

The concept contains the main approaches to changing the regulatory system in the country to improve artificial intelligence and robotics technologies.

It includes 5 blocks. The first one contains general provisions, including the goals of this concept, principles and directions of regulation.

The next block deals with data circulation, legal liabilities in the use of artificial intelligence and robotics, and export of systems using such technologies.

In addition, the concept includes optimizing regulation of the use of artificial intelligence and robotics in various spheres of life, such as medicine, transportation, industry and space.

Also it prescribes what steps to take as financial support for the industry, which ways to translate the concept into reality.

According to the ministry, approval of the concept will allow to create favourable legal conditions for the development of artificial intelligence technology in the country.
