Cruise, recreational and yacht tourism center may appear in St. Petersburg.

The head of St. Petersburg Committee for tourism Sergey Korneev told that the department has already declared St. Petersburg as a capital and the main center of water tourism of the country within the frames of the suggestions on the national project concerning tourism. He specified that it concerns cruise, pleasure excursion and yacht tourism.

For example, the city authorities are planning to develop the route from Moscow to the Northern Capital via the Golden Ring as a part of the inner yacht tourism.

However, Korneev pointed out that in case of development of international yachting tourism a number of limitations appear, among them border formalities and pilotage. Today specialized departments work in this direction in order to remove these restrictions.

Sergey Alexeev, the president of St. Petersburg Sailing Union, noticed that last year foreign yachts visited the city about 70 times and in the neighboring cities this figure was about 5 thousand. He explained this difference by complicated navigation regime and lack of border-crossing points and infrastructure.

Earlier it became known that in Italy about two thirds of Italians opposed the return of travelers from the USA to Italy this summer. It follows from the survey of research company YouGov.

It is specified that such an opinion is held by more than 61% of respondents.

In addition, more than half of the respondents (57%) do not want to visit Italy by Chinese tourists. Another 44% were against the British tourists.

A similar situation, according to media reports, is observed in other European countries, including France, Spain and Germany. Sociologists surveyed one thousand people each in those countries.
