Russia to resume international flights from August 1

Russia will open its borders for international flights from August 1, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

He specified that, starting from August, such flights will be performed from the airports in four Russian regions - Moscow, Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don.

The prime minister stressed that the country's authorities have taken this decision, based on information on the situation with the coronavirus in foreign countries, and followed the principle of reciprocity.

Thus, as of August 1, flights from the above regions will be performed to Turkey, the UK and Tanzania.

On Friday, it became known that the State Duma approved in the last, third reading the legislative initiative which provides the introduction of the universal single entry visa in electronic format for entry into our country from next year.
