The main foreign buyer of domestically-produced meat has been named. It is China, which bought 80,000 tonnes from Russia in the first six months of this year, which is 11 times more than last year's figures.

According to the media, in the first quarter the supply of meat from Russia outside Russia has increased by 2.2 times. In this case, about 54% of exports accounted for China and Hong Kong. However, purchase of meat from Russia has decreased in Ukraine: a year ago it imported 28% of total exported meat, while now the figure has dropped to 16% (almost 41 thousand tons).

It is noted that the Chuvash Republic is the leader in the export of hay this year.

Revenues of domestic sellers grew from $42 million to $53 million. For instance, in the first six months of this year domestic cattle breeders and meat processors sold abroad $336 million worth of meat and meat by-products. A year ago this figure was lower - $150 million.
