Konoplex Group opened an oilseeds processing plant at an industrial park in Penza. A total of over RUB 200 million was invested in this project.

The new facility produces oil from hemp, sunflower, mustard and pumpkin. For spinning, the plant uses high-tech equipment that makes oil by cold pressing. It will produce 5 thousand tons of vegetable oil annually, or about 15 million bottles.

Konopleks plant is the first enterprise that has been launched on the base of Otóvel industrial park.

The group of companies has been working in this area for 4 years, with a systematic approach to investing in the economy of the region.

"Konopleks" not only produces oil but also processes oil-bearing crops, which allows to arrange additional jobs and produce local products of high quality and create a high-quality product under the brand "Made in Penza Region", - the press service quotes Governor Ivan Belozertsev as saying.

According to the head of the Penza Region, local authorities are ready to assist the company in promoting their products in retail chains.

Earlier it was reported that in the Penza region opened a mesh-welding line at the "Betonium" plant. In addition, the domestic company StankoMashStroy started production of components for vertical machining centres of VTM series here at the end of July.
