The factory in Uglich switched to the production of exclusively organic products
The Golovinsky advanced milk processing plant near Uglich will produce only organic products. Thus, the first major organic dairy producer will appear on the market.
Sergey Kliuchnikov, commercial director of AgriVolga, the company the plant belongs to, said he has been working in the holding since 2007 and at that time there was no legislation on organic production, in this connection the company took the European principles of organic production as the basis for building its activities.
The dairy processing plant itself was built in 2013. Today, the plant's processing capacity reaches 15-22 tons of milk per day.
All farms of the plant have already fully switched to organic production.
The range of the converted plant will include cottage cheese and drinking yoghurts. In future the company does not exclude production of baby food.
As of today, its products are available in supermarkets and it is planned to start exporting them in the future.
