Stavropol Krai has launched the region's first enterprise where steel pipes will be manufactured.

The owner is Volzhsky Pipe Plant.

It will produce electric-welded longitudinal welded pipes of round and profile sections. The plant itself will be a stand-alone division of Volzhsky Tube Works.

Its products are in demand in machine building industry, including heavy engineering, and construction of gas pipelines and water pipelines.

Yuri Krasnov, the general director of the plant, stated that pipes will be primarily sold in the North Caucasus regions. According to him, the plant was located in this subject of the country, because it has a well-developed infrastructure and is supported by the local authorities.

A distinctive feature of the plant is that it will train specialists in accordance with the requirements of the sphere.

Regional Governor Vladimir Vladimirov emphasized that in the last 5 years the authorities pay special attention to the development of the industrial park "Master", where the new enterprise was opened. Today there are 55 residents.

The production line of the plant is equipped with high-tech domestic equipment. It is expected to produce 8 thousand tons of products each month.
