Exports of agro-industrial products from the Rostov region have amounted to more than $2.4 billion since the beginning of the year. This is the highest figure among other Russian regions, said Dmitry Patrushev, head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

He noted that only 5 subjects of the country - the Russian capital, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territory and the Rostov Region - accounts for half of the total target in 2020 and is $ 12.5 billion. He noted that the Rostov region is the leader in the sale of its agricultural products abroad in 2020, as well as the planned values in 2024.

It should be reminded that for several years this region has the status of the main agro-exporter of Russia. The main item of income is grain.

According to Viktor Goncharov, the Deputy Governor of the Region, today's dynamics show that the growth of sales of oil and fats products has increased by almost a third (30%) compared to the last year's figures. In addition, sales of fish and seafood outside the country have increased. At the same time, the share of grain in foreign supplies is 50%.

Last year Rostov region sold locally produced foodstuffs worth 4.5bn, exceeding the federal target by 1.5%.
