Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a number of federal laws which approve lists of products in respect of which a minimum share of purchases from domestic producers will be established.

The requirement for the mandatory minimum share of purchases from Russian manufacturers will apply to these products. The implementation and fulfillment of these requirements will be carried out in the unified information system of state procurement.

The size of the quota will be differentiated taking into account the competences and capabilities of Russian producers. This will make it possible to provide point-by-point support to Russian producers, including as part of the diversification of the defense industrial complex, and at the same time to prevent procurement procedures from being disrupted. At the same time it will be possible to minimize the quota mechanism to formal fulfillment at the expense of works and services.

Vasily Osmakov, the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, stated that as the method is tested and analyzed, the agency will begin to gradually extend this method to other industrial sectors. The system of confirming the status of "Russian goods", according to him, is planned to be implemented in conjunction with the mechanism of confirmation of manufacturing of industrial products on the territory of the country.

Alexander Drozdenko, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, announced that regional authorities were going to help one of the largest companies "Baltiysky Bereg", producing fish products, to transfer its activity to Leningrad Region and provide local citizens with jobs.

This statement was made by the head of the subject during his working visit to Lomonosovsky district. He stressed that at the moment this sector is actively developing in the region, due to which the region always ranks first among domestic enterprises producing trout.
