The Institute of Digital Technologies, created on the basis of the Mari State University and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, was opened in the Republic of Mari El.
The new university offers professions in engineering, electrical energy, digital economy and artificial intelligence. The institute will combine physics and mathematics and electric power engineering, as well as economics, management and finance.
The institution is expected to rank first among other institutes in this segment, Sergey Lyulin, deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, said during the opening ceremony.
Earlier, Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsev said that Russia will have a superservice "My School", which aims to combine a number of services and databases. It is being developed as part of the implementation of the "digital educational environment".
The head of the ministry said the service will make it possible to organise all conditions for schoolchildren and their parents to receive requested information and resolve issues of their interaction with teachers, school and the whole system of education without loss of time and effort.
