The Omsk-based company Promobit succeeded in having its Elbrus-based data storage system included in the unified register of Russian radioelectronic products under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

From now on, this data storage system may be supplied to government agencies, where it is now forbidden to purchase similar systems that are not on the register for two years. Such measures were introduced at the end of the last year to ensure security of critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation.

Promobita" system was created on the basis of Russian processors "Elbrus-8S".

The company said that its specialists carry out the whole development cycle in two centers - in Omsk and Moscow. The specialists of "Prombit" create and produce cases, electronic circuit boards, motherboards, cable products and software on the territory of Russia.

For example, the company has established production processes at its partner plants in Omsk, with the ability to scale up to 5,000 units a month, the media reported.
