Russia's largest manufacturer of submersible equipment for oil production, Alnas plant, has developed and put into production an electric centrifugal pump.

The new equipment meets the unified technical requirements of the leaders of the domestic oil and gas industry. This pump of compression assembly is used together with a high-speed unit, as well as in sidetracks and remedial wells with technical limitations.

The minimum casing inner diameter is 10 centimetres.

The pump is equipped with a valve-type electric motor with a shaft speed of up to 6 thousand rpm and pump flow can vary from 160 to 250 cubic meters per day. This allows increasing functional capabilities of the equipment during well operation.

The enterprise specialists said that latest technical solutions were applied to the pump design; due to these solutions they managed to reduce the prime cost of oil production due to increase of the resource and efficiency of the unit.

This year the plant has put into batch production new models of submersible motors with increased supply voltage and electric submersible pump with compression-dispersible stages.

Earlier, the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reported to the head of the state Vladimir Putin that since the beginning of this year in the republic the energy and oil industries were the hardest hit. The decline in those spheres was 12% and 10% respectively.

Oil production, according to him, suffered because of restrictions under the OPEC agreement, the decline in petrochemicals due to lower global demand. In addition, there was a decline of almost 10% due to border closures and disruption of cooperation chains.

However, according to Minnikhanov, the region managed to maintain manufacturing output with a growth of over 5 %.
