A meeting was held on the development of the Far East region, the promotion of competition in Russia and support for a number of industrial sectors. The event was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.

One of the topics of discussion was the allocation of subsidies to support light industry enterprises.

Mishustin pointed out that the industry will receive 1 billion rubles as a support measure. He specified that about half of the money will be spent on the compensation of the enterprises' expenses for the credits, equipment purchasing, demand stimulation and other measures, which will increase the sphere competitiveness, including the production of flax products.

Let us remind that the day before the support of light industry was discussed during a meeting with the Head of State. The budgetary funds are allocated to help this economic segment to overcome the decline in demand for its products and to maintain working places.
