Yakutia's Arctic Research and Education Centre will cooperate with universities from St. Petersburg

In Yakutia, the Arctic Research and Education Center North is beginning to cooperate with universities, research institutes, and enterprises from St. Petersburg. This was reported to the Made in Russia project by the Yakutia Press Center in Moscow.

All organizations will participate in development of technologies and products on arctic topics for this center which is created in the republic within the framework of the national project "Science".

The corresponding agreement was signed between St. Petersburg, Yakutia and Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. Ammosov.

The document will serve as a basis for the integration of universities and scientific organizations of St. Petersburg and Yakutia and their interaction with the production of the real sector of the economy. It will enable the application and dissemination of existing innovative practices and new developments, which will contribute to the conservation and development of the Arctic and Subarctic.

As stressed by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, the agreement provides an opportunity to attract educational and scientific institutions and the best companies in the city to create advanced products and developments on the Arctic theme.

The "North" center will unite 4 far-eastern regions and its activity will be aimed at different spheres, and in some areas Yakutia may lead the research of international scale.

In addition, the center will provide a new quality of communication for science, education, business and industry.

According to experts, in 4 years the number of patents and the share of high-tech products will increase in Yakutia due to the North center.
