Moscow residents will be able to be vaccinated against coronavirus from 5 September.

At the moment the post-registration phase is under way, said the head of the Gamaleya National Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology Alexander Gintsburg. Gamaleya Alexander Gintsburg.

According to him, on Thursday-Friday the preparation developed by Russian scientists will be delivered to Moscow polyclinics - the first participants in the vaccination will be about 7 health facilities, then, as the study unfolds, the number of polyclinics will increase by more than two times.

He specified that about 40 thousand people would participate in voluntary vaccination, which would start on September 5-7.

Two or three days before the injection, volunteers will be tested, and only then the vaccine itself will be administered, TASS writes.

Recall that Sputnik V, a domestically produced vaccine, was registered on August 11 as the world's first preventive vaccine against coronavirus. The vaccine was created by specialists from the Gamaleya Center, and it has already received state registration.
