Russia boosts mutton exports to Iran
Iran has increased imports of Russian lamb since the beginning of this year.
This year, Russia has exported to that country a total of almost 100 lots of chilled lamb produced in the country. Their total weight amounted to 1.18 thousand tons, this was reported by several regional offices of Rosselkhoznadzor - Rostov, Volgograd, Astrakhan regions and Kalmykia.
In doing so, the Astrakhan region has become a leader in supplying mutton to Iran - region shipped 55 lots weighing more than 670 tons. Kalmykia has sold 40 batches weighing about 500 tons, and Rostov region - one party of 10 tons.
Earlier it became known about the growth of almost 6% of export of flour confectionery products from Russia in the first six months of this year compared to last year's data. According to the results of half a year the country has supplied on foreign markets the specified products for $203 million.
Particularly, sweet dry biscuits increased by 3.2%, waffles - by almost 10%, crispbread - by about 7%.
