"Sinara started supplying Arctic diesel locomotives

Sinara Transport Machines (STM) Holding started serial deliveries of TEM7A shunting locomotives for NOVATEK, one of the largest natural gas producers in the country. The vehicles are designed to operate in extreme climatic conditions at the Severo-Russkoye field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.

Thanks to the commissioning of the new locomotives, it will be possible to increase the efficiency of sorting operations and transport up to 20 million cubic meters of liquid hydrocarbons daily.

The eight-axle TEM7A locomotive is one of the most powerful shunting diesel locomotives at the Russian railways and industrial enterprises.

Thanks to its unique running gear, the fullest use of the coupling mass, excellent dynamic qualities and fitting into small radius curves is achieved.

A microprocessor control system is used to control the locomotive. The locomotive has 6 specifications.

The holding and NOVATEK started cooperating more than 10 years ago, in 2009. At that time, STM delivered to its partner the TEM7A locomotives, which later proved to be efficient in shunting operations at the oil and gas enterprises.

By the end of this year the holding will deliver another locomotive of this series.

According to Anton Zubikhin, General Director of STM Trade House, the entire rolling stock of the holding is designed for reliable operation in extreme climatic conditions.
