In Yaroslavl they invested 1.2 billion rubles in a new farm

Yaroslavl-based agricultural firm Pakhma has launched an investment project to set up a dairy farm for 2,000 dairy cows. The new farm will be built in Bogoslov village, with RUB 1.2 billion already invested in the project.

Due to the increase of cattle, as the company expects, the volume of milk will almost double to 17 thousand tons a year.

Sergei Ivanov, director general of Pakhma, said that the major part of the investment is a soft loan. Also, he said, this year the company received more than 19 million rubles in state support for the production of milk, development of livestock breeding and agro-technological works.

At the moment it is building the access roads to a new farm. In the near future interior works and equipment installation will be started. New cattle - Holstein and Ayrshire breeds - for the farm will be bought next spring, Ivanov added.

At the moment, "Pakhma" is one of the largest agricultural enterprises in the Yaroslavl region. The company has the status of a pedigree breeding plant and is a breeding reproducer of the Yaroslavl cattle breed. There are 1,1 thousand cows in the milking herd of the company. Last year the company produced almost 9 thousand tons of milk.
