A new 3D-printer production facility has been opened in Moscow

Additive Engineering has begun manufacturing products using 3D printers.

Goods which are manufactured in this way are applicable in various industries, including the automotive and foundry industries, the aerospace sector and medicine.

According to Gennady Degtev, General Director of Technopolis "Moscow", the manufacturing company is located on the site in Pechatniki from the beginning of this year on the area of approximately 700 square meters.

During the pandemic, the company promptly modified its production and started producing valves for artificial lung ventilation (ventilators) printed on a 3D printer and then supplied them to hospitals.

During the peak of the pandemic, the company produced 175 reusable polyamide protective respirators, about 50 ventilator valves, and 4,000 non-reusable devices per day.

Potential customers are state corporations, concerns, trade and industrial enterprises and leading educational institutions of the country and CIS.

Printed products are made of polymers, plastic, wax, ceramics and metal, added Ashken Hovsepyan, CEO of Additive Engineering.
