Fish processing in Chukotka switched to Russian equipment

Chukotka's Aquamarine enterprise now processes fish using a modular shore-based facility.

At such a complex, production is organized in modules based on standard containers. Due to this, the plant can be assembled and launched in a short time. This format also allows for high mobility.

When designing the plant for Aquamarine, we used modules based on 45- and 20-foot containers. The plant is equipped with sewage and ventilation systems and has a laid-down engineering network.

Two years ago the complete fish processing chain for the plant was implemented in seven containers. The first stage of the project included establishment of the facilities where up to 60 tons of raw fish will be processed daily.

A slot conveyor line was used to cut fresh raw fish, which can process up to 120 tonnes every day.

The following year the project was further developed and the plant was upgraded to be able to process 120 tons of raw fish.

All the key processes - block mold transportation, its backwashing and defrosting - are mechanized.

The freezing is done with the help of a refrigeration unit - a unit based on two screw compressors and four plate chambers for contact freezing, as well as a separate freezer department for caviar freezing.
