Perm startup for plastic recycling received a loan of 14.5 million rubles

SME Bank issued a RUB 14.5 million loan to Perm-based Dakron to set up a facility where secondary polymers will be processed into raw materials for the industrial production of plastic food packaging and polyester staple fiber.

This sum was provided under the subsidy programme of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development at the rate of 7.75% per annum for 5 years.

The borrower will use the proceeds to purchase equipment.

The new facility is planned to process 3.7 thousand tons of feedstock and produce over 3 thousand tons of polyethylene terephthalate (PTFE) flakes a year. The equipment is to be commissioned next year.

The company will buy the plastic bottles collected from landfills from suppliers, then crush the raw material and send the PET Flex in big-bags to customers. The goods will then be sold to local firms that specialize in disposable tableware, food containers and food packaging.
