Frozen vegetables plant worth 545 million rubles was launched in Volgograd

Volgograd has implemented an investment project for processing and deep freezing of vegetables at a total cost of almost RUB 550 million.

The regional administration's press service said that the blast-freezing line for vegetables was launched at the local Volgogradtruboplast enterprise. Up to 30 tons of cauliflower will be processed here daily.

The implementation of the project began in 2018 with the support of regional authorities.

As noted in the press service, Volgograd region has not yet had such production before. In total, there are three such enterprises in the country.

The plant has modern climate-controlled equipment, a total of 4 lines for processing vegetables, including cauliflower, onions, sweet peppers and carrots.

In the future, there are also plans to process broccoli, eggplant, zucchini, courgettes and tomatoes. Simultaneously at the enterprise in a chamber with a temperature of minus 25 degrees can be stored over 600 tons of vegetables.

The lines are being put into operation in stages. Thus, all four lines will be put into operation by the end of the next month, and their estimated annual capacity will exceed 7 thousand tons of ready products.
