This year Russia has sold 34 thousand tons of pork to Vietnam, 10 thousand tons of this figure is accounted for by-products. This was stated by Artem Daushev, Assistant to the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor, during the business program of the exhibition "Golden Autumn 2020".

He said that the Ministry was taking measures aimed at the recognition of the quality of domestic products through regionalization and compartmentalization of Russian territories. Daushev explained that this means that meat and meat products are exported exclusively from safe regions and by reliable companies.

It was possible to start supplies to Vietnam thanks to the signing of an agreement on compartmentalization of pork products. The country received this right in 2019.

To date, 11 domestic companies can supply pork of own production to this southeastern Asian state. The list of companies includes agricultural holding Miratorg, Tambovsky Bacon owned by Rusagro and Velikoluksky Meat Processing Plant.

In addition, Russia is now opening access to pork products in China.
