Sevastopol hosted the VIII International Marine Business Forum. As part of the event, a document on the creation of a territorially oriented cluster of marine instrumentation was signed.

The agreement was signed by Sevastopol State University, St. Petersburg Maritime Technical University and the concerns Aurora and Oceanpribor.

Soon research works are planned to be commenced within the framework of the project.

Rector of the Evastopol university Vladimir Nechayev evoked marine instrument engineering as one of strategic areas which the university will continue to support. He specified that it concerns high-tech intelligent systems that can be used in maritime transport, navigation or exploration of the oceans.

According to him, the complex will enable integrated interaction between unmanned underwater vehicles, surface ships and aircraft, which is important for the development of the military and civil sectors.
