Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) presented its own science and technology center (STC) in Skolkovo.

During the presentation, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the head of Rosstandart and his deputy, the head of Rosakkreditatsiya and the deputy head of Roskachevo were present.

During the tour, Igor Korytko, TMK CEO, presented the latest innovations of the enterprise and the research potential of the new center, where new materials of increased strength and reliability, including special alloys, are studied and created.

In addition, the STC has a laboratory for mechanical testing of metal samples and the only stands in the country for complex testing of new products. We are talking about high-reliability pipe connections for production of hard-to-recover oil and gas reserves.

Korytko noted that the Center has integrated the research potential and unique equipment, which, according to him, are required for acceleration of production of new products.

Prospects for bringing new products to market are directly related to recognition of compliance with domestic and foreign standards. For this purpose, Pipe Metallurgical Company is actively working within the committee on technical regulation in the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The Committee is chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dmitry Pumpyanskiy.
