KAMAZ told about modernization of electric buses in Moscow

KAMAZ told what changes the company's engineers had made to the electric buses running in Moscow over the past two years.

According to Marat Sadykov, Chief Electric Transport Designer of the holding, all requirements for accessibility for disabled passengers were taken into account in this electric transport, solutions that increased passenger convenience were implemented, and work on the aesthetic component was also carried out.

In particular, changes were made to the interior finish: the floor was covered with a new coating imitating parquet, which will serve longer, and partitions were made of traumasafe glass. In addition, additional cushioning bars have been installed inside the electric bus, so that standing people can lean on it.

Sadykov also said that the climate control system has been thoroughly studied, for energy conservation heat curtains have been installed in the doors and side windows. Now warm air in winter and cool in summer is supplied through special holes above the glass.

Significant changes were made to the telematics systems. This public electric transport is equipped with such systems as people flow monitoring, all-around camera systems, information and orientation systems for visually impaired passengers.

To ensure passenger safety and comfort, all data is transmitted online to the Mosgortrans servers.

According to the representative of KAMAZ, significant modifications in the design of electric buses are planned in the near future in order to increase the mileage per charge and switch to electric cabin heating without the use of hydrocarbon heaters.
