Agreement on the development of cargo traffic through the Northern Sea Route concluded

OMR 2020, an exhibition and conference dedicated to shipbuilding and equipment development for the Arctic and shelf, was held in St. Petersburg. Following the results of the events, a document concerning the development of freight traffic through the Northern Sea Route was signed, as follows from the report of the St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs.

It will be the beginning of cargo turnover development through the Northern Sea Route in the part of logistic corridor along St. Petersburg - Arctic zone regions and further to the East.

It is a reminder that earlier OMR organizers pointed out that on the territory of Bronka port there will be the site for cargo gathering and consolidation in order to send the consignments further along the North Sea Route.

In addition to signing this agreement during the forum Russian manufacturer and supplier of integrated solutions in the field of power machines "Power Machines" and machine-building organization "Tyazhmash" agreed to submit proposals for the contract "Logistic Cluster of the North-West in 2021.

In addition, it was also agreed to create a park of sea containers for the cluster participants. This work is planned to be done by the Rostr engineering company.
