New Director of Vladivostok Commercial Seaport Appointed

The Regional Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service (IFTS) for the Leninsky District of Vladivostok has confirmed changes to the details of the general director of the Vladivostok Commercial Seaport (VCCP).

Information from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on the website of the Federal Tax Service, dated October 14 this year, indicates that Roman Kukharuk is the Chief Executive Officer of the port.

However, the official web-site of the port said that the company contacted the FTS with objections to the registration of the relevant changes.

At the end of September, during the meeting of the supervisory board of VSMPO it was decided to terminate the authority of Zairbek Yusupov, who was the general director of the port. This led to protests by some of the company's employees. On 2 October, Fesco Group announced the appointment of a new top manager of the port, Kukharuk became the new CEO. On 5 October a meeting between the new management and employees of the port was to have been held, but it was disrupted.

A week later, on 12 October, the port announced that it had refused to register Kukharuk as CEO. The same day Fesco announced that all required documents for registration had already been sent to Vladivostok Federal Tax Service.

According to media reports, Fesco Group is in a shareholder dispute between businessman Ziyavudin Magomedov, who owns 32.5% and Novator-Invest, Nautilius and Domidias Ltd, who own 33.9% of Fesco.
