Russian Government Approves Roadmap for Export Development

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved a roadmap for transforming the business climate in the export industry.

Thanks to the signed document, norms that affect domestic companies which sell their own products outside Russia will be updated.

The order prescribes measures to modernize state support measures, soften currency regulation requirements, remove barriers to the import of important goods from abroad and digitalize export procedures.

According to the document, government agencies must prepare proposals to reduce duties on imported equipment and raw materials necessary to create goods, which in the future will be exported. At the same time the regulation in the field of transportation of goods should be improved. For example, it is necessary to reduce the time for obtaining permits for large vehicles.

It is also planned to expand the electronic document management at sea checkpoints, this will also stimulate the formation of a legal framework for the launching of digital environmental system "Single Window".

Regulations are being prepared for each direction, some of which are to be approved by the end of this year.
