Negotiations were held between Sergey Sinelnikov, head of the Russian trade mission in Finland, and Alexander Vysotsky, head of government relations at Yandex.Taxi.

During the working meeting, which took place online, they discussed implementation of the Russian company's projects in Finland. We are talking about the data centre near Helsinki, a service aggregator of taxis and delivery around the capital. The parties touched upon the issue of further development of the company's operations in that country.

In November the construction of the second phase of the data center will be finished, which will make it possible to double the existing capacity. The company plans to expand the total area of the data center up to 30 thousand square meters.

One of the main features of this Yandex data center is the ability to give part of the heat generated by the servers to the central heating system of the Finnish city. According to local authorities, a division of the Russian company Yandex Oy has become the largest taxpayer in the city of Mänsälä, where the data center is located.

Another major project is the development of taxi and delivery service under the brand name Yango. It was launched in Helsinki about two years ago. Now a number of large taxi fleets in the Finnish capital provide transportation services through this platform.
