KAMAZ delivered the first batch of new liquefied natural gas (LNG) tractors with two cryogenic tanks to ITECO, the largest transport company in the country.

Under the terms of the contract, the company will deliver a total of 300 NGVs to the customer by the end of this month. The vehicles will be delivered to Tver according to the schedule.

The Company has started production of the new modification of the truck this year. ITEKO is the first company to receive such a large batch of gas-motor trucks with two cryogenic tanks.

One of the important features of the new model, in addition to its environmental friendliness through the use of LNG as an alternative fuel, is the fuel economy of such fuel. According to the company, the owner of such vehicles will save up to 1.4 million KAMAZ rubles annually on fuel when using the new KAMAZ on gas.

Rustam Shamsutdinov, Deputy Director General of KAMAZ, pointed out that the company uses advanced technologies, which allow reducing the total cost of ownership.

It needs to be reminded that the production of new truck tractors KAMAZ-5490 NEO running on gas with two cryogenic tanks began in February this year. These models are not inferior to diesel vehicles in their specifications.

The vehicle is equipped with an economical gas engine Weichai ("Euro-5") and a 16-speed mechanical gearbox ZF, with a cruising range of up to 1.4 thousand kilometers on one fuel tank.
