About Steam Locomotive Studio

Parovoz Animation Studio is one of the largest producers of animated films in Eastern Europe. It was founded in 2014 by TV producer Anton Smetankin and creative producers Evgeny Golovin and Vadim Volya. The studio was established as a company producing cartoon series ordered by VGTRK holding company (Karusel channel) and Digital Television (MULT, Mama, Ani, Multimusic channels). The first animated films of "Steam Locomotive" were "Papers" and "Mi-bears".

The Studio's cartoons have been translated into 10 languages (Chinese, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Hindi, Arabic and Indonesian) and are broadcasted in over 100 countries both on TV channels and online.

The main distinctive principle of "Steam Locomotive" is creativity, quick launch of projects and high-quality animation. The studio creates new characters, original plots and magical worlds in different styles such as 2D-animation, 3D-animation and motion-comics. Ideas are embodied in the animated series, which are watched by children of different ages: from zero to 12 years.

The studio is actively developing its international direction, seeking co-production partners and seeking to work with foreign companies. The flagship co-production project is Spaceport, which was presented for the first time at MIPJunior in Cannes and Kidscreen in Miami. Two other projects, Chik-Chirikino and Cat Biaka and the Good Boy, were also showcased there. These cartoons are rather uncommon: "Chik-Chirikino" combines the photophone technique and 2D-animation, and "Byaka the cat and the good boy" is created in a musical format and represents the edutainment genre, teaching children in a playful way.
