Rosatom's fuel company released a batch of magnets for wind farms

Stage-by-stage localization of production of rare-earth alloy magnets for wind turbine generators began at the facilities of Rosatom's fuel company TVEL. As part of this, the first batch of kits has already been manufactured and shipped to the customer.

The company will manufacture over 200 sets of magnets, each of which is designed for production of one electric generator, within the framework of a single contract.

According to Natalya Nikipelova, President of TVEL, the company also plans to reduce dependence on imported products through localization of such production in our country.

He called this line of activity promising for development of the metallurgical business of Rosatom. Nikipelova said TVEL has all the necessary scientific and technological competencies to establish the first large-scale full-cycle production of permanent rare-earth magnets in Russia.
